Qatari Prime Minister Discusses Latest Regional Developments with Saudi and Jordanian Foreign Ministers

Doha, July 27 (KUNA) — The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, today held talks with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, Dr. Ayman Safadi, on the latest regional developments.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in two separate statements that these discussions took place during phone calls received from Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs Dr. Ayman Safadi.

During the calls, the parties reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister emphasized during both calls the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement the agreements reached under the framework of the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard regional security, preserve achieved gains, and bolster regional stability.
