GCC Secretary-General Condemns Drone Attack on Jordan
Riyadh, July 27 (KUNA) -- The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, expressed his condemnation and denunciation today, Monday, of the treacherous attack by two drones that targeted the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. In a statement, Al-Budaiwi said that these hostile acts constitute an unacceptable violation of Jordan’s sovereignty and pose a threat to its security and stability, as well as to regional security, reaffirming the full solidarity of the GCC member states with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces had announced earlier today that the Royal Jordanian Air Force intercepted and shot down two drones that targeted Jordanian territory.
