Lebanese President Condemns Attempt to Target Saudi Oil Facilities

Beirut, July 27 (KUNA) -- Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on Monday strongly condemned attempts to target petroleum facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia using drones. In a statement, the media office of the Lebanese Presidency said that President Aoun considered such attacks a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s security and stability, and a threat to the security of the region and the interests of its peoples. Aoun reaffirmed Lebanon’s full solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the face of any actions that undermine its security, sovereignty, and stability. He renewed calls for respect for the sovereignty of states and refraining from any acts that could “fuel regional tensions,” urging dialogue and peaceful solutions to preserve security and stability in the region.
