British Prime Minister: We will continue our cooperation with Ukraine in its war with Russia

London, July 27 (KUNA) -- British Prime Minister Andy Burnham affirmed today that his country will continue its cooperation with Ukraine in its war against Russia through the exchange of technology that would give Kyiv an advantage over Moscow. This statement came in a press release issued by Burnham coinciding with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s visit to the United Kingdom, making him the first foreign head of state to visit the country since Burnham assumed office.

Burnham said, “Britain stands united with Ukraine, and our support for it is unwavering.” He added, “Russia should have no doubt about our resolve, and we will not back down until we achieve a lasting and just peace for Ukraine.”

Zelenskyy’s visit comes as the United Kingdom announced it would share intellectual property with Ukraine regarding electronic warfare technology known as “Stone Clock,” which can be used to disrupt Russian air defense systems and prevent the tracking and targeting of drones that employ this technology.

Burnham described “Stone Clock” as “the best of British domestic innovation, proven effective on the front lines, and vital for protecting the security of both our countries.”

For his part, Zelenskyy revealed in a post on the social media platform X, as reported by the UK Ministry of Defence, that he had discussed with Burnham the “development of joint defense production.” He added, “I am grateful to the United Kingdom for its decision today to provide Ukraine with electronic warfare technologies to protect Ukrainian drones.” (End)
