Qatari Prime Minister Discusses Latest Regional Developments with Omani Foreign Minister

Doha, July 26 (KUNA) -- The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, today held discussions with his Omani counterpart, Badr Al Busaidi, on the latest regional developments. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the talks took place during a phone call between the two ministers. The statement added that the call reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region. During the call, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister emphasized the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement the agreements reached under the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard regional security, preserve achieved gains, and bolster regional stability.
