Head of the National Cybersecurity Center and Assistant Foreign Minister for Human Rights Affairs Discuss Joint Cooperation

Kuwait, July 26 (KUNA) — Abeer Al-Awadi, President of the National Center for Cybersecurity, and Sheikh Jawahir Ibrahim Al-Duwaikh Al-Sabah, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Human Rights Affairs, discussed cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The Center said in a press statement on Sunday that the talks took place during Al-Awadi’s reception of Sheikh Jawahir Al-Sabah, where ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides were explored, particularly concerning international agreements related to human rights, especially the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, and the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, as well as issues related to combating human trafficking. The statement noted that both sides reviewed mechanisms to strengthen coordination and exchange expertise in regional and international participations related to cybersecurity and human rights, contributing to supporting the State of Kuwait’s presence at international forums and highlighting its efforts to develop the cybersecurity framework in line with best practices and international standards. They also emphasized the importance of continuing joint cooperation and coordination to keep pace with international developments, enhance Kuwait’s standing in the fields of cybersecurity and human rights, and achieve shared objectives in this regard.
