Bahrain Condoles Syria on Victims of Traffic Accident

Manama, July 25 (KUNA) -- The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its sympathy and solidarity with Syria, its leadership, government, and people, following the tragic road accident that occurred on the Deir ez-Zor-Damascus highway, which resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries. In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed the Kingdom’s sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the Syrian government and people, as well as to the families of the victims, in this calamitous incident, praying to Almighty God to have mercy on the deceased and grant the injured a swift recovery. At least 35 people were killed and 30 others injured in a severe collision between two buses near Palmyra on the highway from the Syrian capital Damascus heading toward Deir ez-Zor. (End) KH N A / R J
