State of Kuwait condemns and denounces attacks by extremist settlers in the occupied West Bank

Kuwait City, July 25 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and strong disapproval of the attacks carried out by extremist settlers targeting several villages in the occupied West Bank, affirming that these assaults are an extension of the Israeli occupation’s policies aimed at escalating violence against the fraternal Palestinian people, and constitute a blatant violation of international law and resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. In a statement issued today, Saturday, the Ministry emphasized that these attacks reflect the Israeli occupation’s approach of enabling extremist settlers to continue their violations and crimes against the fraternal Palestinian people under the protection of occupation forces, thereby undermining prospects for peace. It called on the international community to take urgent action to halt these attacks and hold their perpetrators accountable. The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s steadfast position supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among which is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
