Qatari Prime Minister discusses regional developments with Egyptian Foreign Minister.

Doha, July 25 (KUNA) -- The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, held talks today, Saturday, with the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of the Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Authority, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, to discuss the latest regional developments.

A statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the meeting took place during the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister’s reception of his Egyptian counterpart in Doha. The discussion reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them, and examined the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts undertaken and the joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions and enhancing security and stability in the region.

During the meeting, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister emphasized the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement the agreements reached under the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard regional security, preserve achieved gains, and bolster regional stability.

He reiterated Qatar’s full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region. (End) S.S.S / M.N.F
