(Mauritanian) Foreign Ministry condemns Houthi targeting of Saudi ship in the Red Sea
Algiers, July 24 (KUNA) -- Mauritania on Friday condemned the Houthi attacks on a Saudi vessel in the Red Sea, reaffirming its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a statement, the Mauritanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the hostile acts and threats carried out by Houthi militias in the Red Sea, particularly those targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its interests. The ministry also condemned the Houthi militias’ failure to respond to all efforts and initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people and resolving their crisis. It reaffirmed the Mauritanian government’s support for Saudi Arabia, the legitimate Yemeni government, and the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen, in all measures that contribute to preserving security and stability in the region and helping the Yemeni people emerge from their crisis.
