Jordan: Interception of 7 missiles and 6 drones originating from Iran targeting the Kingdom's territory

Amman, July 24 (KUNA) — The Jordanian Armed Forces General Command announced on Friday that it intercepted seven missiles and six drones launched from Iran, which targeted Jordanian territory. The Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted a military source at the command as saying, “The interception and downing operation resulted in no human casualties or material damage,” adding that “the Royal Engineers Corps units moved to the sites where debris fell and handled them in accordance with established technical and security procedures.” The military source confirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the kingdom’s airspace and maintain the highest levels of operational readiness to respond to any threat targeting Jordan’s security and the safety of its citizens.
