Libya strongly condemns Houthi militia statements against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Tunis, July 23 (KUNA) -- Libya on Thursday expressed its strong condemnation and rejection of statements issued by the Houthi militia targeting the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and threatening the security and safety of maritime navigation in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Libyan Government of National Unity stated in a press release that Libya reaffirms its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures taken to protect its security, safeguard its territorial integrity, and uphold its sovereignty. The ministry called, according to the statement, for adherence to international laws, conventions, and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, which contribute to preserving regional security and stability and preventing further tension and escalation in the region.
