Kuwait Finance House Reports KWD 363 Million Net Profit in First Half of 2026
Kuwait, July 22 (KUNA) -- Hamad Al-Marzouq, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Kuwait Finance House (KFH), announced that the bank achieved net profit attributable to shareholders of 363.1 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately $1.19 billion) for the first half of 2026, representing a growth rate of 6.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, Al-Marzouq said that earnings per share for the period stood at 18.86 fils, reflecting a growth of 4.9 percent compared to the first half of the previous year. He noted that net financing revenues rose to 649.4 million dinars (approximately $2.1 billion), up by 6.9 percent.
He added that total operating revenues increased, supported by growth across all key business activities, reaching 990.5 million dinars (approximately $3.3 billion), a rise of 9.9 percent.
Al-Marzouq explained that due to cost controls and expense rationalization, total operating expenses declined by 2.1 percent compared to the same period last year, boosting net operating revenues to 687.9 million dinars (approximately $2.3 billion), marking a 16.2 percent growth.
He clarified that the financing receivables balance reached 22.8 billion dinars (approximately $75.2 billion) by the end of the first half of the year, up 11.5 percent compared to the end of the first half of the previous year. Total assets amounted to 42.2 billion dinars (approximately $139 billion), reflecting a growth rate of 9.7 percent.
Al-Marzouq stated that total shareholders’ equity reached 5.8 billion dinars (approximately $19 billion), up by 4.2 percent, while customer deposits stood at 21.6 billion dinars (approximately $71 billion), growing by 9.4 percent. The capital adequacy ratio stood at 17.47 percent, exceeding regulatory requirements.
He announced that the Board of Directors recommended a semi-annual cash dividend to shareholders of 10 fils per share.
For his part, Khaled Al-Shamlan, Chief Executive Officer of KFH Group, said the bank continued to deliver exceptional performance in the first half of 2026, recording growth in operating revenues, profits, financing, and deposits, alongside an improvement in asset quality.
Al-Shamlan emphasized that the bank achieved growth across all its key business segments compared to the same period last year, reflecting high operational efficiency and confirming the success of its strategy and the achievement of its set objectives. (End) F.N.K
