Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs discusses the latest regional developments with several of his counterparts

Doha, July 21 (KUNA) -- The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, held talks today, Tuesday, with several of his counterparts to discuss the latest regional developments. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in separate statements that these discussions took place during phone calls with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi.

During the calls, the parties reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

The Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister emphasized the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, and to implement the agreements reached under the framework of the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard regional security, preserve achieved gains, and bolster regional stability.

He reiterated Qatar’s full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region. (End) S S S / M A H A
