Oman National Team Wins Second West Asia Men's Volleyball Championship Title

Muscat, July 21 (KUNA) – The Omani national team clinched the title of the second West Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship held in the Omani capital, Muscat, today, Tuesday, after defeating the Qatari national team 3-0 in the final match. Oman led the defending champions in all three sets, with scores of 25-19, 25-15, and 25-23, securing first place and the gold medal in the tournament, which concluded its competitions today. The Kuwaiti national team finished in fourth place after losing to the Iraqi national team, which claimed the bronze medal by placing third in the match held earlier today. The Saudi national team placed fifth after defeating the Syrian national team, which finished sixth, while the Lebanese national team came in seventh and last. Oman hosted the second edition of the West Asian Men’s Volleyball Championship at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat from July 14 to 21, with seven teams participating: Kuwait, Syria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iraq, and Oman.
