Jordan: Interception and downing of 3 missiles from Iran without casualties or material damage

Amman, July 20 (KUNA) — The Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported on Monday that three missiles originating from Iran were intercepted and shot down, with no casualties or material damage reported. The agency quoted a senior military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces as saying that three missiles coming from Iranian territory entered Jordanian airspace and targeted Jordanian land, but did not result in any human casualties or material damage. The source added, according to the agency, that “Royal Engineers units responded to the debris impact sites and secured the areas in accordance with established technical and security procedures.” He affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the kingdom’s airspace, maintain operational readiness, and will not hesitate to address any threat to the security, sovereignty, and safety of its citizens, in line with established rules of engagement.
