US President: Iran will pay the price for the killing of American soldiers

Washington, July 20 (KUNA) -- U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday warned Iran of “severe consequences” for targeting American soldiers in the Middle East, following the killing of two U.S. soldiers and injuries to others in Iranian-backed attacks in Jordan. In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated, “Every time Iran kills an American soldier, they will pay a price many times over for that killing.” He noted that he had issued these directives to U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine, and all military commanders.
