US Army announces death of two soldiers and loss of a third in Jordan while repelling Iranian attacks

Washington, July 18 (KUNA) -- U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Saturday the death of two American soldiers in Jordan and the disappearance of a third while responding to Iranian attacks. CENTCOM said in a statement that “two members of the U.S. Armed Forces were killed in Jordan while carrying out their duties during the response, alongside partner forces, to attacks launched by Iran using ballistic missiles and drones.” The statement added that one U.S. service member remains missing, while four American soldiers were treated in Jordanian hospitals for minor injuries and later discharged to return to their duties.
