(Ministry of Electricity and Water): Citizens' and residents' commitment to conservation helped overcome the difficult phase of the power system and stabilize it

Kuwait City, July 18 (KUNA) – Fatima Jawhar Hayat, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, said on Saturday that the commitment and cooperation of citizens and residents in conserving electricity consumption enabled the ministry, by God’s grace, to overcome the difficult phase that the power system experienced yesterday and today.

In a press statement, Hayat added that the commitment and cooperation of citizens and residents in reducing electricity consumption also had a noticeable impact in lowering consumption below projected levels, contributing to supporting the efforts of technical teams in maintaining system stability and service continuity. She thanked citizens, residents, all government entities, state institutions, media outlets, and the private sector for their cooperation in disseminating awareness messages on conservation.

She explained that this positive response and cooperation reflected a high level of societal awareness and an authentic spirit, manifested in swift responsiveness and solidarity in serving the nation through various social media platforms.

Hayat called on everyone to sustain the spirit of shared responsibility and to entrench the culture of conservation as a national and civilized behavior that contributes to protecting resources and maintaining the stability of both the electricity and water systems, thereby serving the public interest and ensuring the sustainability of services for all.
