(Fire Department): Control achieved over two fires that broke out at different locations in the country following their targeting in hostile attacks

Kuwait, July 18 (KUNA) — The official spokesperson for the General Fireforce, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Gharib, announced that fire crews managed on Saturday to bring under control two fires that broke out at two different locations in the country, following targeted attacks as part of hostile actions stemming from the unjust Iranian aggression against the country.

In a press statement, Brigadier General Al-Gharib said, “Fire crews immediately began firefighting and containment operations upon arrival. Five fire crews participated in the response at the first site, supported by crews from the oil sector’s fire department, while three crews responded to the second site.”

He added that the incident at the first site resulted in injuries to several firefighters and one worker from the oil sector, after the location was targeted again during firefighting efforts. First aid was administered to the injured, who were then transferred to the medical emergency department and subsequently to a hospital for treatment.

Al-Gharib clarified that the General Fireforce also responded to three separate fires caused by falling debris in several residential areas, successfully containing and extinguishing them. The damage was limited to property, with no injuries reported. (End) H.M.D / M.Kh
