Palestinian martyred and six others injured in Israeli occupation shelling of Gaza

Gaza, July 17 (KUNA) -- The health authorities in the Gaza Strip announced on Friday the martyrdom of a Palestinian and the injury of six others, mostly children and women, as a result of an Israeli occupation drone strike that targeted an apartment building on Yarmouk Street in western Gaza City. Health authorities said in a press statement that ambulance crews transported some of the injured to the Red Crescent Field Hospital for treatment. In a related development, Israeli occupation aircraft launched an early morning airstrike on an apartment building on Al-Mu’assasat Street in western Gaza City, with no reports of casualties. Meanwhile, occupation forces continued their operations in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City amid intense artillery shelling, gunfire, and drone flights, prompting several families to flee the area. These developments come amid escalating tensions on the ground, as Israeli occupation forces persist in launching aerial attacks on various parts of the Gaza Strip, in continuous violation of the ceasefire agreement reached last October.
