Bahrain: Air defense systems repelled and destroyed several Iranian aerial attacks

Manama, July 17 (KUNA) – The General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force announced that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed, early Friday morning, a number of treacherous Iranian aerial attacks. In a statement, the General Command said that Iran continues its systematic hostile approach through its abominable attacks targeting civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain, emphasizing that all its weapons and units are at the highest levels of readiness and preparedness to defend the kingdom “with firm resolve and high combat readiness.” It called on everyone to exercise caution, avoid approaching any foreign or suspicious objects resulting from the brutal Iranian attack, and report them immediately, affirming that the personnel of the Royal Field Engineering Unit are fully prepared to handle those objects safely and technically, ensuring the public safety of citizens and residents. It stressed that the deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. (End) K.H.A. / M.K.
