Libyan-Jordanian talks to enhance joint security cooperation

Tunis, July 16 (KUNA) -- The Interior Minister of Libya’s Government of National Unity, Major General Imad al-Tablusi, held talks today, Thursday, with the Director of Jordan’s General Intelligence Directorate, Major General Ahmad Husni, on bilateral relations between the two countries and a number of issues of mutual interest. The Libyan News Agency reported that the two sides discussed Jordanian-Libyan relations and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two countries, as well as consultations on developments in the regional situation. The agency quoted both sides as emphasizing the importance of strengthening security coordination and exchanging expertise between the two countries through continued cooperation and coordination in various security fields, in a manner that serves common interests and enhances security and stability.
