London, July 16 (KUNA) -- Britain announced that outgoing Prime Minister Keir Starmer will visit Ukraine today, Thursday, just days before leaving office. The British Prime Minister’s Office confirmed in a statement that Starmer will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the capital, Kyiv, to discuss political and military issues, particularly the efforts made by the United Kingdom and its allies over the past two years “to ensure a response to the Russian aggression and achieve lasting peace.” It is noted that Starmer will officially leave office by next Monday, when he is expected to be succeeded by former Greater Manchester Mayor and Member of Parliament for the Labour Party, Andy Burnham.
