Yemen: Foiled Houthi militia attack in Al-Jawf governorate

Aden, July 15 (KUNA) — The Yemeni Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday the thwarting of an attack launched by the Houthi militia on military positions in the Qinao area, east of Al-Jawf Governorate in northern Yemen. The Yemeni Armed Forces Media Center quoted a military source as saying, “Army units successfully repelled the attack, foiled it, and inflicted casualties and material losses on the militia elements, forcing them to retreat and flee.” He added that the armed forces dealt with the attack and thwarted the militia’s attempt to advance toward their positions, emphasizing that all movements by the Houthi militia are subject to close monitoring and tracking by the armed forces.
