Kuwait condemns and denounces the heinous Iranian aggression that targeted the country and resulted in the injury of several members of the armed forces

Kuwait City, July 14 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strongest condemnation and denunciation of the culpable Iranian aggression that targeted the country on Tuesday evening, resulting in injuries to several members of the armed forces and causing material damage.

In a statement, the ministry reiterated that the continuation of this culpable Iranian aggression constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a serious threat to the security and safety of its citizens and residents, and an overt challenge to international legitimacy and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026). It also reflects an insistence on pursuing a hostile approach and an irresponsible undermining of regional and international efforts aimed at achieving the security and stability of the region.

The ministry emphasized Kuwait’s inherent right to take whatever measures it deems appropriate to safeguard its sovereignty and preserve its security and stability, in accordance with the provisions of international law and the Charter of the United Nations. (End) N.M.A. / T.A.B.
