This was stated in a press release issued by the Aman team, which was received by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following the team’s visit to the Jordanian National Center for Security and Crisis Management, as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation, exchange expertise, and benefit from pioneering experiences in emergency, crisis, and disaster management.
The statement noted that the visit was carried out in implementation of directives from the leadership aimed at building an integrated national system for emergency, crisis, and disaster management, and in order to learn about best institutional practices in the fields of command and control, national coordination, decision-making support, preparedness enhancement, and response. It added that the team received a comprehensive briefing on the tasks and operational mechanisms of the Jordanian National Center, covering its organizational structure, operations management system, information and communications technology, media response unit, and studies and evaluation management.
The team also reviewed coordination mechanisms among national entities during various phases of emergencies, crises, and disasters, and held a technical discussion session with the Jordanian side addressing ways to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise and knowledge in areas of mutual interest.
The Aman team delegation conducted a field tour within the center’s facilities, where it observed the operations center, event management mechanisms, and decision-support systems, aiming to benefit from the Jordanian experience and apply best practices to the project of establishing Kuwait’s National Center.
On the sidelines of the visit, the delegation met with Jordanian Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraiyya to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise between the two brotherly countries in the field of emergency and crisis management. (End) A.M.N. / M.A.A.
