Kuwait Meteorology Department: Active winds raising dust tomorrow and extremely hot weather over the next three days

Kuwait City, July 14 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Meteorology Department forecast that the country will be affected tomorrow, Wednesday, by active winds stirring up dust, which will reduce horizontal visibility. During the next three days, the weather will be “very hot.”

Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Tuesday, Acting Director of the Meteorology Department, Derrar Al-Ali, said the country is being affected by a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a very hot air mass, with active northwesterly winds that are strong at times, with speeds exceeding 60 kilometers per hour.

Al-Ali added that the wind activity will begin gradually from tomorrow morning, stirring up sand and dust, thereby reducing horizontal visibility in some areas, particularly exposed ones. He clarified that the speed of the northwesterly winds will decrease at night, allowing dust to settle gradually and improving visibility.

He predicted that the northwesterly winds will resume their activity on Thursday, noting that the weather during the next three days will be very hot during the day, with maximum temperatures ranging between 49 and 51 degrees Celsius.
