Arab League Secretary-General Condemns Israeli Defense Minister's Remarks on Establishing Settlements in Gaza

Cairo, July 14 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy expressed his dismay today on Tuesday over statements by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz regarding the establishment of settlements in northern Gaza Strip, affirming that they reflect a genuine intention to reoccupy the Strip. In a statement, Fahmy said that the extreme orientations of the Israeli occupation are inconsistent with the peace plan proposed last year and with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 issued in November 2025. Fahmy called on the international community and the Security Council to confront these extreme orientations that seek to entrench the occupation, warning against Israeli plans in this regard.
