Bahrain condemns Houthi militia's targeting of Saudi Arabia's southern region
Manama, July 13 (KUNA) -- The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation on Monday of the heinous terrorist attacks launched by the Houthi militias, which targeted the southern region of the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a serious escalation that constitutes a blatant violation of international law and undermines regional security and stability, while praising the high efficiency and vigilance of Saudi air defenses in countering these attacks, which contributed to protecting lives and property. The ministry reaffirmed Bahrain’s steadfast position, expressing its full solidarity with the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its complete support for the measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and territorial integrity. It also expressed appreciation for Saudi efforts in leading the coalition supporting legitimacy in the brotherly Republic of Yemen, in order to contribute to achieving a comprehensive and lasting political solution to the Yemeni crisis in accordance with the Gulf Initiative, its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2216, thereby preserving Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
