Kuwait, July 13 (KUNA) – The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Talent and Creativity (one of the centers under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences) concluded the local championship of the STEM Racing Kuwait program, following outstanding competition among participating student teams in an educational experience that integrated engineering, technology, innovation, and teamwork, simulating the environment of global Formula 1 teams. The championship crowned months of continuous training and effort, as students embarked on an educational journey that began with forming integrated teams to design and manufacture miniature racing cars using the latest engineering design technologies and 3D printing, alongside developing marketing plans, project management, and presentations.

The championship concluded after stages of judging, technical inspection, and final races, leading to the announcement of results and the crowning of winners among the four participating student teams: Barq Racing, Mawj Racing, Stellar Racing, and Al-Safi Racing. The teams demonstrated a high level of performance, reflecting the engineering, leadership, collaboration, and teamwork skills acquired by the students, as well as their ability to transform ideas into comprehensive projects. Awards included Best Project Management, Best Engineering, Best Marketing, and Best Oral Presentation, recognizing the excellence displayed by the teams across various aspects of the program.

The championship results saw Barq Racing take first place, followed by Mawj Racing, qualifying both teams to represent Kuwait at the STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore. Barq Racing comprised Khaled Al-Khalidi, Abdulwahab Al-Mutairi, Abdulrahman Al-Rafai, Ahmed Al-Basman, and Ali Al-Musbah. Mawj Racing included Abdulwahab Al-Sallal, Saud Al-Khalidi, Sheikha Al-Duaiji, Fawaz Al-Dahi, Hussein Safar, and Nasser Al-Qutami.

The STEM Racing Kuwait program aligns with the vision of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Talent and Creativity to empower Kuwaiti youth and develop their skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through practical experiences that reflect real-world work environments, contributing to the preparation of a generation of innovators capable of shaping the future and representing Kuwait at international scientific forums. The Center emphasized that the achievements of the participating teams reflect the program’s success in building an educational system that integrates knowledge and application, and expressed best wishes for the two qualified teams in representing Kuwait and raising its name at the world finals in Singapore, while continuing their journey of achievement and excellence.
