Egypt and Turkey Sign Letter of Intent for Defense Cooperation

Istanbul, July 13 (KUNA) -- The Turkish Anadolu Agency reported on Monday that Turkey and Egypt signed a letter of intent for bilateral cooperation in the defense sector. The agency stated that this came at the conclusion of talks in the Turkish capital, Ankara, between Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler and his Egyptian counterpart Ashraf Qaher, who arrived in Turkey on an official visit. It added that the two ministers held bilateral discussions at the Turkish Ministry of Defense headquarters, followed by talks at the delegation level. The agency clarified that at the conclusion of the talks, the two ministers signed a letter of intent for defense cooperation between the two countries. The Egyptian Defense Minister arrived in Turkey today at the head of a military delegation to conduct talks on enhancing the prospects of military cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries in various fields.
