Lebanon: Death toll from Israeli occupation aggression rises to 4,324

Beirut, July 13 (KUNA) -- Lebanon announced on Monday that the total number of victims of the ongoing Israeli occupation’s aggression had risen to 4,324 killed, as Israeli aircraft continued their raids in coordination with a ground incursion and bombing operations in southern towns.

The Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health said in a statement that the cumulative total of victims of the Israeli occupation’s aggression since March 2 of last year reached 4,324 killed and 12,221 wounded.

On the ground developments, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli occupation forces carried out a major bombing operation in the town of Kafr Kila, southern Lebanon, coinciding with the town coming under fire from artillery shells. It also recorded low-altitude flights by Israeli occupation drones over the capital, Beirut.

The agency noted that Israeli occupation forces also penetrated the outskirts of the town of Baraishit in the Bint Jbeil district and bombed several houses there, while an Israeli artillery shell fell on the Sedane area in the town of Kafr Shuba to the south.

These ground developments come amid intense international and American efforts to implement the “Framework Agreement” reached in Washington last month and to extend state authority to enhance stability along the international border. (End) F.Z. / M.A. H.A.
