GCC Secretary General Discusses with German Foreign Minister Strengthening Cooperation Relations

Riyadh, July 13 (KUNA) -- The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, held talks today, Monday, with German Foreign Minister Dr. Johann Wadephul to explore ways to enhance and develop cooperation between the GCC member states and Germany across various fields, in a manner that serves their mutual interests. The GCC Secretariat General said in a statement that the discussions between Al-Budaiwi and Wadephul, held in Brussels, focused on exchanging views on the latest regional and international developments, with particular emphasis on the situation in the Middle East. Both sides reaffirmed, according to the statement, the importance of continuing coordination and consultation, and supporting efforts aimed at consolidating peace and stability, de-escalating tensions, and promoting peaceful solutions to crises, thereby ensuring security and prosperity for the peoples of the region.
