Two Palestinians martyred and nine injured in Israeli strike on Gaza City

Gaza, July 13 (KUNA) -- Two Palestinians were martyred and nine others were injured with varying degrees of severity today, Monday, in an airstrike carried out by Israeli occupation aircraft that targeted the area surrounding Al-Wahda Stadium in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in southwestern Gaza City. Another Palestinian died later from injuries sustained earlier, as Israeli raids continued on scattered areas of the Gaza Strip.

Health authorities stated that Al-Quds Hospital, affiliated with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, treated nine victims of the strike that occurred opposite Al-Wahda Stadium. The martyr’s remains were transferred to Shifa Hospital. The authorities added that a Palestinian died from injuries inflicted days earlier by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis in the southern part of the Strip.

In simultaneous field developments, an explosion was heard in the eastern areas of the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza following an Israeli occupation airstrike that targeted a civilian vehicle. Israeli occupation aircraft also renewed strikes on a house near the Railway Street north of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. Eyewitnesses reported that the strike hit a house in the area, but no information was available at the time regarding casualties.

Israeli occupation aircraft continued their raids on various parts of the Gaza Strip, while ambulance and civil defense teams continued to monitor field conditions and respond to reports from targeted areas. (End)
