Kuwait City, July 12 (KUNA) – The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, represented by the National Campaign for Conservation of Energy and Water (Wafar), announced on Sunday the launch of a strategic media partnership with the Ministry of Information. The collaboration aims to unify awareness-raising efforts to strengthen the culture of rationalizing consumption and instill positive behaviors among members of society.
In a statement, the Ministry of Electricity said that this partnership aligns with the integration among state institutions and stems from the importance of unifying media messages to raise public awareness about the optimal use of electricity and water, and to encourage various segments of society to adopt sustainable conservation practices to protect natural resources.
The ministry explained that the partnership includes implementing a comprehensive media plan, which involves intensifying the presence of the Wafar campaign through television and radio programs, producing diverse awareness content tailored to different age groups, preparing awareness flash videos and field reports, and hosting experts to provide practical guidance.
It further noted that the cooperation also involves leveraging digital platforms and social media to deliver messages using innovative methods and interactive content that resonates with public interests, thereby expanding the campaign’s reach across various societal segments and enhancing its impact.
The ministry highlighted that this partnership exemplifies a model of institutional cooperation to support national initiatives aimed at entrenching the concepts of sustainability. It pointed out that the Ministry of Information plays a pivotal role in disseminating awareness messages to transform the culture of conservation into daily practices that support usage efficiency.
The ministry reaffirmed that the Wafar campaign continues to develop its programs and awareness tools and to expand its partnerships with government entities and civil society organizations, based on the principle of shared responsibility and the conviction that rationalizing consumption is a national duty that contributes to securing energy and water resources for future generations.
