Saudi Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Developments with Regional Counterparts

Riyadh, July 12 (KUNA) -- Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held talks today, Sunday, with several regional counterparts on developments in the region, foremost among them efforts to restore security, de-escalate tensions, and ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that this came during phone calls made by Prince Faisal bin Farhan with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi, Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. The statement added that the calls emphasized condemnation of repeated Iranian attacks against countries in the region and rejection of any actions that could undermine the sovereignty of states or threaten the security and stability of the region, alongside exchanging views on a number of issues.
