(Al-Adl): Record rise in the number of electronic advertisements in criminal cases

Kuwait City, July 12 (KUNA) -- Assistant Minister of Justice Awatef Al-Sand announced that the ministry’s indicators showed a record-high increase in the number of electronic notices in criminal cases, reflecting a tangible shift toward the electronic notice system in criminal procedures. Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday, Al-Sand said that the total number of electronic notices in criminal cases between June 7 and July 9 reached approximately 27,665 notices, compared to just 12 notices during the same period in 2025. She clarified that the statistics included 23,710 notices for criminal orders and 3,955 notices for criminal judgments, underscoring the expanding use of electronic systems in this domain following the launch of the electronic criminal orders project and the development of the judicial notices system. Al-Sand affirmed that the Ministry of Justice continues to complete its digital projects aimed at streamlining procedures and accelerating the delivery of notices to concerned parties, thereby contributing to faster resolution of judicial transactions and improved service quality for litigants. It is worth noting that the new electronic notices system accounted for 94 percent of total judicial notices within one month of the Ministry of Justice’s launch of the new system, as part of its plan to digitize the judicial system, enhance digital transformation, and deliver more efficient, faster, and reliable judicial services.
