Sultanate of Oman: 129.5 million barrels of oil exports until the end of May, up 2.7%

Muscat, July 12 (KUNA) -- Official data showed on Sunday that Oman’s oil exports rose by 2.7 percent from the beginning of the current year through the end of May last year, reaching approximately 129.5 million barrels, compared to the same period last year. Preliminary statistics issued by the Oman National Centre for Statistics and Information indicated that the average price of Omani oil increased by 1.3 percent, reaching $76.2 per barrel through the end of May, compared to $75.2 per barrel during the same period last year. Regarding production, statistics showed that average daily oil output grew by 9.7 percent, reaching 1.083 million barrels per day through the end of May, compared to about 987,000 barrels per day during the same period last year. On the total production front, statistics indicated a 9.7 percent increase, reaching 163.6 million barrels, compared to 149.1 million barrels during the same period last year. (End) M.J.B. / N.S.A.
