(Ministry of Education): Kuwaiti student teams at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Uzbekistan

Kuwait City, July 10 (KUNA) — The Ministry of Education announced on Friday that the Kuwaiti student team, representing both public and private schools, will travel to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to participate in the International Chemistry Olympiad, which will be held from July 10 to 19.

In a statement, the ministry said the student team comprises three gifted high school students: Ali Al-Qallaf, Zahra Al-Haddad, and Fatima Al-Mulla, who have been prepared and trained to compete in scientific competitions at the international level.

The ministry added that the team will be supervised by the Department of Technical Guidance for Sciences at the Ministry of Education, with support and sponsorship from the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Talent and Creativity, one of the centers under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. The team will be accompanied by chemistry instructor Isa Al-Qallaf and chemistry instructor Haifa Al-Adwani.

The ministry emphasized that this participation is the result of efforts made to discover, nurture, prepare, and train gifted students to take part in international scientific competitions and Olympiads, thereby contributing to the development of their scientific capabilities, enhancing their skills in the sciences, and representing Kuwait honorably on the international stage.
