Libya condemns Iranian attacks on Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain and reaffirms its solidarity with them

Tunis, July 10 (KUNA) -- Libya today condemned the Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain, reaffirming its full solidarity with them in the face of this aggression. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Libya’s Government of National Unity stated in a press release that “these acts threaten the security of these three countries and exacerbate tensions in the region,” reiterating Libya’s complete solidarity with its sister nations and its firm rejection of all actions that undermine their security and sovereignty or endanger the lives of civilians and vital facilities. The statement emphasized that such attacks have a negative impact on regional security and stability, stressing the necessity of respecting state sovereignty and avoiding any measures that heighten tensions in the region. It called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint, prioritize dialogue, work to de-escalate tensions, and thereby enhance regional security and stability, safeguard the interests of the peoples of the region, and uphold international peace and security. Libya’s stance comes amid escalating regional tensions, alongside repeated international appeals to prevent the expansion of confrontations and protect the security of states, vital facilities, and civilians.
