His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Receives the President of the United Arab Emirates on the Occasion of His Fraternal Visit to the Country

Kuwait City, 9 July (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received today his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the accompanying delegation, in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, on the occasion of his fraternal visit to the country.

During the meeting, cordial exchanges took place reflecting the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two countries and their peoples, and the ways to support and develop these ties across various fields and all levels. The importance of expanding the horizons of bilateral cooperation between the two fraternal countries was emphasized, in a manner that serves their common interests.

The latest developments on the regional and international scenes were also discussed, foremost among them the developments in the Middle East region, with the exchange of views on these issues. Their Highnesses affirmed both countries’ support for all initiatives, efforts, and endeavors aimed at establishing the foundations of peace, security, and stability in the region.

The meeting also addressed key issues of common Gulf interest, with an emphasis on strengthening unity and the progress of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to realize the aspirations of their peoples for further development and prosperity.

From the UAE side, the attendees included His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Court; His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Court for Private Affairs; H.E.
