Minister of Finance Discusses with the Algerian Ambassador to Kuwait Ways to Enhance Joint Cooperation

Kuwait City, 8 July (KUNA) – Kuwait’s Minister of Finance, Dr. Yaqoub Al-Rafai, held talks today, Wednesday, with Algerian Ambassador to Kuwait Omar Belhadj, discussing ways to enhance the distinguished and historic ties between the two brotherly countries, which are based on mutual interest and benefit.

In a press release, the Ministry of Finance stated that the meeting saw an exchange of views on ways to elevate bilateral relations and upcoming action plans in several key areas, most notably the opportunities available in the tourism and investment sectors, as well as the facilitations provided to investors in both countries.

The ministry added that the meeting addressed joint efforts to convene the Kuwait-Algeria Joint Ministerial Committee, co-chaired by the finance ministers of the two brotherly countries, which is expected to take place in the Algerian capital during the fourth quarter of 2026, thereby ensuring the achievement of the objectives aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

A number of officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Algerian Embassy in Kuwait attended the meeting. (End) A.M.H.
