Qatari Prime Minister Discusses Issues of Common Interest with Indian Foreign Minister

Doha, July 5 (KUNA) -- The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, today held talks with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on a number of issues of mutual interest. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the meeting took place during the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister’s reception of the Indian External Affairs Minister in the Qatari capital, Doha. During the talks, the two sides reviewed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, particularly in the economic field, and discussed regional developments and their impact on the global economy and energy markets, as well as other issues of mutual interest. Both sides emphasized the importance of resolving differences and disputes through dialogue and diplomatic means, which contributes to enhancing security and stability at both the regional and international levels. The two sides also agreed to continue strengthening cooperation on a number of priority files for Qatar and India by activating joint working mechanisms and bilateral committees between the two countries.
