Qatar condemns bombing targeting a café in the Syrian capital, Damascus

Doha, July 2 (KUNA) -- The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Thursday a bombing that targeted a café in the Syrian capital, Damascus, which resulted in casualties among civilians. In a statement, the ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm rejection of violence, terrorism, and criminal acts, regardless of their motives or causes. The ministry expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims and to the Syrian state, both government and people, and wished the injured a speedy recovery. Syrian authorities had earlier announced that the death toll from the explosion, which occurred inside a café in Damascus, had risen to six dead and 22 injured. (End) s s s / s a m
