Digital platforms and satellite channels are preparing to broadcast a number of dramatic series as the start of the winter drama season, with thrill, suspense, and comedy dominating the new works that audiences eagerly await after filming and editing have been completed. However, what stands out this season is the reduced number of productions and a decline in output compared to the same period in previous years.
The season kicks off with actress Mona Shalabi and her highly anticipated series “Amr al-Mawt” (Ward of Death), which was filmed over the past few months and will premiere on November 26. The series is based on a true story that took place in Alexandria in 1997, in which a nurse named Aida was accused of intentionally killing a patient and attempting to murder around 30 others. The cast features a large number of stars, including Ali Qasim, Rashid Al-Shami, and Basma, with a special appearance by artist Ahmed Khaled Saleh.
MBC Masr channels are preparing to air the second part of the series “Bayt Baba,” starring comedian Mohamed Anwar, Mohamed Mahmoud, Entissar, Mariam Al-Gendy, Ahmed Abdel Hamid, and several other stars. The series will be broadcast during the second half of November.
Throughout November, new episodes will present fresh stories from several series, including “Dafennaha Sawa,” starring a group of young actors and special guests such as Mohamed Abdo and Ahmed Fahim. The Shahid platform will continue to release new episodes of “Al-Qissa Al-Kamila” (The Full Story), continuing the narratives of incidents that have captivated public opinion in recent months. In the past few days, the episode “A Crime in Zamalek,” starring Saba Mubarak, achieved massive popularity. In the coming days, the episode “Poisoned Love,” starring Nour Al-Nabawi and Faten Saied, will be released.
