In line with its ongoing commitment to supporting Kuwaiti youth and investing in promising talents, Ooredoo Kuwait announced its sponsorship and partnership with the Public Relations Club at the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST). This collaboration aims to support a series of events and activities organized by the club throughout the 2026–2027 academic year, designed to enhance students’ professional skills, broaden their practical horizons, and provide greater opportunities for networking with institutions, companies, and entities operating across various sectors.

This partnership extends Ooredoo’s approach to strengthening its community and educational roles, contributing to building bridges of communication between banking institutions and the new generation of national talents, in alignment with its vision of supporting human development and empowering youth to acquire the experiences and skills that prepare them to confidently launch their professional careers.

The partnership includes cooperation in supporting and organizing more than eight major events throughout the academic year, combining educational, professional, sports, and awareness-raising aspects. These initiatives provide students with an interactive environment that helps them develop their capabilities, discover their interests, and learn about labor market requirements.

These initiatives also offer an opportunity to enhance the presence of sponsoring brands on campus, engage directly with students, and build sustainable professional and community relationships between the private sector and educational institutions.

Commenting on this partnership, Ayman Al-Mutairi, Senior Manager of Public Relations and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo, said: “The bank strives to be an active partner in initiatives targeting youth and supporting their educational and professional journeys, driven by our belief that true investment begins with people, and that empowering new generations requires providing opportunities that help them acquire knowledge and experience, transforming their ambitions into tangible achievements.”

Al-Mutairi added: “Our partnership with the Public Relations Club at GUST reaffirms our interest in supporting high-quality student initiatives that go beyond the academic sphere to include personality building, developing leadership and communication skills, and fostering a spirit of initiative and teamwork.”

He continued: “Through this partnership, we look forward to contributing to creating rich educational and professional experiences for students, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the work environment and its requirements, thereby enhancing their readiness for the future and supporting their aspirations to participate actively in development.”

The partnership includes a range of events distributed across the months of the academic year. The club will organize “PR Market Week” in December 2026, one of its flagship events, which brings together student entrepreneurs and local brands through interactive booths and spaces for showcasing products and services. This encourages an entrepreneurial culture, supports startups, and provides networking opportunities between students and participating entities.

The agenda also includes “Movember Week” in November 2026, an awareness campaign focused on promoting men’s health, including mental health and prostate cancer awareness, through interactive activities, educational booths, and community participation, while encouraging healthy lifestyles and early detection.

In February 2027, the club will launch “Sustainability Week,” aimed at raising environmental awareness and promoting sustainability concepts among students through interactive activities, educational booths, and eco-friendly initiatives, encouraging responsible practices toward the environment and society.

This initiative aligns with “Warba’s” strategic direction to enhance corporate social responsibility and support initiatives that create positive, sustainable impacts, while contributing to raising awareness about the importance of preserving natural resources and the environment.

The activities also include organizing the “Ramadan Padel Tournament” during Ramadan 2027, a sporting event aimed at fostering teamwork and student interaction, encouraging sports participation and healthy lifestyles, alongside providing opportunities for direct engagement with sponsoring entities.

In March 2027, the club will host “F1 Week,” an event inspired by the world of Formula 1 racing, featuring a range of interactive activities, competitions, and entertainment experiences. The goal is to attract students and deliver a distinctive university experience that combines entertainment, competition, and active participation.
