The Yemeni army announced on Saturday that it carried out 875 operations against the Houthi group over the past hours, stating that these operations neutralized approximately 130 of the group’s leaders and members, and destroyed or damaged 50 military vehicles and equipment, as part of Operation “Yemen’s Dawn.”
Majid al-Nazili, spokesperson for the Yemeni government forces, said in a statement on the X platform that “the army continued to carry out its missions under Operation ‘Yemen’s Dawn,’ targeting Houthi positions, gatherings, reinforcements, firing sources, and combat assets.”
Al-Nazili clarified that the operations were supported by air force aircraft, drones, and artillery, without specifying the exact time frame during which they took place.
Taiz is the most populous of Yemen’s 22 governorates, housing around 12% of the country’s total population, making it a significant reservoir of human resources.
The army noted that units from emergency response teams, the Homeland Shield forces, and military districts, backed by popular resistance, carried out attacks against Houthi gatherings and reinforcements on the Marib and Al-Jawf fronts.
