The Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rabah Al-Rabah, received the Jordanian Ambassador, Sinen Al-Majali, accompanied by a group of Jordanian businesspeople operating in Kuwait, on the 5th of this month.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation between the two brotherly countries, and to expand partnerships between the private sector to open new horizons for investors and strengthen mutual interests.
Al-Rabah emphasized that Kuwaiti-Jordanian relations are distinctive and deeply rooted, having contributed to strengthening Kuwaiti investments in Jordan, where they rank first among Arab investments. He noted that direct communication between businesspeople and economic institutions in both countries constitutes a fundamental pillar for developing partnerships and exploring new opportunities for cooperation. Al-Rabah stressed the importance of activating joint committees between the two countries through the participation of the business sector in governmental efforts to enhance this cooperation. He also highlighted the need to make efforts to open new channels in the healthcare, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and food security sectors, given Jordan’s capabilities and natural resources, particularly in the agricultural field.
For his part, Al-Majali thanked the Chamber for its warm reception and affirmed the deep fraternal and commercial ties between Kuwait and Jordan, expressing optimism about enhancing communication between businesspeople and investors and establishing commercial partnerships between companies. He stressed the importance of cooperating with the Chamber to organize reciprocal meetings and trade exhibitions and to encourage Kuwaiti investors to explore more opportunities available in Jordan.
