The Direct Investment Promotion Authority revealed that cumulative investment spending by licensed foreign entities in Kuwait reached approximately 1.24 billion dinars by the end of December 2024, marking an annual growth of nearly 14 percent.
In its annual report for the fiscal year 2025/2026, the Authority noted that 76 percent of total spending was retained within the local economy, thereby strengthening supply chains, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, and increasing the integration of foreign companies with local economic activities.
These entities also implemented 116 sustainability initiatives supporting 15 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, alongside their contributions to development projects and the promotion of sustainable environmental and social practices.
These results come within the framework of the Authority’s efforts to enhance the role of foreign investments in supporting economic diversification and achieving long-term added value for the Kuwaiti economy.
